Standard
vinyls and laminates are not durable enough to hold
up to the abrasion these activities require. Now
materials offer the High Bond Grip adhesive and
durable lamination with added conformability for
these applications. Thermal printers and solvent
printers print the Gloss or Matte ConvexHB. Laminate
with
8 mil or 
12 mil laminate. Put your laminated image back in
your cutter and cut out the decals. Often 2 and
3 pass cutting is required to lessen the wear and
tear on your cutter. |

Gloss
is generally for thermal printers and matte
for solvent printers. However, gloss can be
used for solvent printers also. remember the
gloss laminate of Proshield or Convex laminate
glosses up the matte printable film. Matte
finish Convex hides finger prints, allows
for faster printing which best suits solvent
printers.

| Use
Convex with the GERBER EDGE®, Roland PC 60
& 600, SPARK 1612 and other thermal transfer printers.
Compatible solvent ink based printers include
Roland, Mimaki, Mutoh, and Arizona. Convex HIGH-BOND
is a special adhesive that is very high tack,
non-slip, and has excellent adhesion to low energy
plastics such as motor bike fenders and number
plates. High Bond also adheres well to powder-paint
surfaces found on machinery. And we added 2 mils
of adhesive as opposed to 1 mil for better bonding
on rough textured surfaces. |

is a textured 18 mil laminate designed
to offer your extreme sports rider
something “grippier” than
smooth laminates.Its deep grooves
and ridges allow for thousands of
little contact points between the
rider and the (Bike / ATV / Sled /
Watercraft) he’s riding - making
the surface non-slip.The adhesive
has good bonding strength with Convex
vinyls as well as many other printing
materials; results of real-world testing
have been overwhelmingly positive.

| Thicker
is better with Convex laminate. Many markets will
ask for thick decals. And now that you know where
to get it, you can produce 8, 12, 16 and even 24
mil. thick decals by printing on Convex base vinyl
and then laminating with another 4 or 8 mil Convex
or Pro-Shield laminate. This will give you a durable
decal with the print sandwiched between the base
vinyl and the laminate. If you want a tougher laminate,
try our Pro-Shield. It is currently available in
7mil & 12mil thick (.012"). |

Convex laminate to increase thickness and provide
different levels of protection to your graphics.
Convex laminate is available in 4 and 8 mil. This
will give you a durable decal with the print sandwiched
between the base vinyl and the laminate. |

| NO
Application tape required. ConvexT 8 mil or thicker
construction (using CONVEX laminate) is thick enough
not to flop around like thin films. Therefore application
tape is not needed. |

| CONVEX
resists wrinkling: When you start to see the "air
tunnels", just rub from the center out as this picture
above illustrates. And watch as CONVEXT condenses
and forms to the curves. Overly large decals are
extreme curved surfaces may require application
fluid for easier application. |
