Taking Care of JSI-Mag Signs
Before applying a JSI-Mag to a vehicle,
simply make sure the vehicle surface is clean
and dry, and that the magnetic side of the sign
is clean and dry. Easy as that.
The best way to apply a sign is to put
one edge of the sign in the correct position.
Let JSI-Mag magnetic power do the rest of the
work as you gently feed it onto the surface.
If it's not exactly where you want it to be,
no problem. Peel it off, reposition the starting
edge, and once again let the sign's power pull
it into position. Once the sign is in place,
run your hand over the sign to make sure there
are no trapped air pockets.
If you're applying a sign in the winter,
the sign's temperature should be at least 50°
F during application. The temperature of the
vehicle's surface does not matter.
Extra caution should be taken with a
couple of vehicle surfaces. Wood grain paneling
and metallic finishes should be checked daily.
A generous waxing of those surfaces helps prevent
any damage. In general, magnetic signs are not
recommended for repainted surfaces.
When storing magnetic signs, keep them
in 3 inch diameter rolls with the printed side
on the OUTSIDE of the roll. You can also store
JSI-Mag signs flat. Avoid putting heavy or sharp
objects on, under or against stored signs.
ALWAYS remove your sign before passing
through a car wash, and only replace it when
the surface of the vehicle is completely dry.
About sign corners - Rounded corners
prevent dog-earing. Custom sign shapes in particular
should have rounded corners rather than sharp
angles.
