COMMON
SUPPORT ISSUES: |
| •
Graphtec cutting small unrecognizable characters |
If your Graphtec vinyl cutter
is cutting small characters ('jibberish')
when you output a job from your software,
the COMMAND language is incorrectly set.
To Change this, you must first power off
your cutter and power it back on to recycle
it. Then you will need to setup your vinyl
sheet using Roll 1 or Roll 2.
Hit the Pause button and hit NEXT PAGE
until you see COMMAND. Hit the right arrow
key to view which mode your cutter is set.
Whichever mode, HPGL or GPGL, has the asterice
next to it is the current setting. Simply
hit either the up, down, F3, F4 button (depending
on model of cutter) to choose the next option.
Hit ENTER to save the setting change and
resend you cut job. The cutter should now
cut your design correctly. |

Graphtec not completing long cut job |
If
you design is set to 120" (for example)
and your cutter stops the job at 100"
and fails to complete the job, the PAGE
LENGTH setting within your cutter menu
needs to be increased.
Load
and setup your media first. Then hit the
PAUSE button to enter Menu mode and hit
NEXT PAGE until you see PAGE LENGTH.
Hit
the right arrow key to display the current
Page Length setting. Move the blinking
cursor to the first number and hit the
UP arrow until you reach 9. Do the same
for each following number. Some models
will not allow you to change the last
number from 0.

Error 1 on cutter recieved when outputting
from software |
The Graphtec vinyl cutters work in both
HPGL and GPGL machine code.
If your software is set to use HPGL machine
code and your cutter is set to GPGL (default),
you will receive and ERROR 1 on the LCD
screen of your cutter.
If your software is set to use GPGL machine
code and your cutter is set to HPGL, your
cutter will cut code symbols and lettering
rather than your actual design. Simply turn
off the power to your cutter and change
the COMMAND language on the cutter.
